Charlie, Gina and Roger moved to Clarks Hill in 2001. Duchess (pictured) is a willing participant in the displays of snigging and work in chains. Demonstrations are given at shows, fetes, craft fairs and schools. Private group visits (£40.00 for up to 10 people) to the farm can be arranged and the Victoria carriage can be hired to make weddings and other special occasions that little bit more memorable.

Visitors can also watch horses being cared for in the stables and harnessed ready for work and take a step back in time. By prior arrangement only, enjoy a carriage drive around the tranquil local countryside in the wagonette.

The close proximity of Hadrian's Wall and The Lake District adds to the potential for an enjoyable day, weekend - or longer visit - to one of the most beautiful, unspoilt regions of England.
